About the conference

The DisCo conferences follow on from the National Conferences on Distance Education held between 1999 and 2008. Since 2010, the conference has been given a new name DisCo. Throughout the conferences, the main organiser is the Centre for Higher Education Studies, v.v.i., and its component, the National Centre for Distance Education. In 2010, the conference was held in Pilsen. It was co-organised by the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. The conference was attended by educators from five countries (South Africa, USA, Bulgaria, Slovakia and the Czech Republic). Since 2012 we have been holding the conference annually in Prague and it is fully international.
